About Danny Kerr and The Kerr Foundation

 

Mr. Danny Kerr was born in Philadelphia, TN. After graduating from Loudon high school in 1988, he attended Middle Tennessee State University. Upon completion of his degree from MTSU, Mr. Kerr’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to successfully open several businesses in Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas. Some of those businesses include, but not limited to the following: DanKer Lawn Service, Images Barber and Hair Salon, former owner of Fish Wings and Thangs.

 

In addition to his business prowess, Mr. Kerr is an active member in the Nashville community. Kerr is also very involved in his church, Amazing Grace Bible Church, where he serves as treasurer and youth mentor. He truly believes in the old adage “It takes a village to raise a child.”

 

The Kerr Foundation grew out of a need for Danny to contribute to his community in a more significant way. In its conceptual phases, Danny wanted to give to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to inform the community regarding this debilitating illness. In the inaugural year of the foundation, Danny donated over $4500 to the NMSS. Since then The Kerr Foundation has expanded its vision to help not only the NMSS, but to help the youth and elderly in our community.

 

Today The Kerr Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization. The foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for community needs, which include, but are not limited to scholarships, programs for the elderly, and children’s programs.  Further, our mission is to provide monetary support to select charitable organizations in an effort to improve the efficiency of, and expand the capacity to carry out stated purpose(s).

 

Mr. Kerr is a devoted father to his beautiful daughters, Veronica and Danielle, his focus is on their well-being, education and growing spiritual lives.
